Where can a Care partner find support? I know from experience the right help is important. I share what I’ve learned below. You deserve the best support!
Being a caregiver for someone living with dementia is one of the most loving things you can do — but it can also feel incredibly lonely. The late nights, the endless decisions, the questions from others who don’t “get it”... it’s a lot. Especially when you don’t have any family support
But here’s something we want you to remember:
You. Are. Not. Alone. More people are coming forward everyday that are in the same boat.
💬 Why Support Matters
Caregiving can feel like a private journey, but it doesn’t have to be. Connecting with others can give you:
Emotional strength when you’re drained
Tips that only other caregivers truly understand
A sense of being seen, heard, and validated
Whether it’s a local support group or a Facebook community, these connections can change everything. You don’t need to explain the small stuff — they already know. That shared understanding is powerful. Become empowered by sharing with people that have the same or similar experience’s
🌍 Where to Find Your People
In-Person Groups: Check your local senior center, hospital, or Alzheimer's Association chapter.
Online Communities: Facebook groups like NeuroBrainFit offer a safe space to share.
Faith-Based Circles: Many churches and spiritual centers offer caregiver meetups or counseling.
💡 Tip from a Caregiver:
"I didn’t know how much I needed support until I found it. My online group became a lifeline when I didn’t have the energy to talk to family."
